1. Introduction

Welcome to Hush ("we," "us," or "our"). Hush is an AI companion platform that lets you create personalized AI personas with custom voices, images, videos, and real-time phone line capabilities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Hush, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Age Requirement

Hush is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data promptly.

3. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in via Replit Authentication, we receive your Replit user ID, display name, and profile picture.
Voice Recordings: If you use the voice cloning feature, you provide audio recordings which are processed by ElevenLabs to create a custom AI voice. These recordings are transmitted to ElevenLabs and subject to their privacy policy.
Photos and Selfies: If you upload photos to create a personalized avatar, those images are stored securely in our cloud storage and used solely to generate and display your AI companion's appearance.
Conversation History: Messages exchanged with your AI companion are stored to maintain conversation context and provide memory features. Voice messages and their transcriptions are also stored.
Phone Line Data: If you use the AI phone line feature, call metadata (duration, timestamps) and call transcripts are stored and linked to your account. Phone calls are processed through Twilio.
Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or financial details. We receive only subscription status and transaction confirmations.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app including features accessed, token usage, and session timestamps to improve our service and enforce fair usage limits.

4. How We Use Your Information

To generate AI images and videos using your uploaded photos
To enable real-time voice chat and phone line features
To maintain conversation memory and context across sessions
To process payments and manage your subscription
To send in-app notifications about your requests (e.g., when a video is ready)

5. Third-Party Services

Hush uses the following third-party services to operate. Each service has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle your data:

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure cloud databases and object storage. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data, conversation history, uploaded photos, and generated media within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Object to or restrict certain types of processing
Data portability (receiving your data in a machine-readable format)

10. SMS / Text Messaging

Hush offers an optional SMS text messaging feature. When you set up an AI companion phone line in the app, you consent to receive SMS text messages from your own AI companion at the mobile number you use to text that line. Messages are conversational replies initiated by you — your companion texts you back when you text it, and may send messages you have scheduled or requested in the app.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency varies based on how often you text your companion.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
Reply STOP at any time to opt out of receiving text messages.
Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@hush-ai.us.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

11. Cookies and Tracking

Hush uses session cookies solely for authentication and maintaining your logged-in state. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy with an updated date. Continued use of Hush after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
